Calling Number Delivery Blocking (CNDB) Per Call allows all customers to temporarily change the public/private status of their directory name and/or number thus preventing or allowing it to be delivered to a called party who subscribes to a Caller ID service.
This action must be repeated each time a call is made.
1. Lift receiver.
2. Listen for dial tone.
3. Dial *67 (touchtone), or dial 1167 (dial pulse/rotary).
4. Listen for confirmation tone (three short beeps) followed by dial tone.
5. Dial the desired telephone number.
Depending on the display unit, "PRIVATE", "PRIVATE NUMBER" or "P" will display to the called party who subscribes to a Caller ID service.
There is no deactivation process required.
If a busy signal is returned (fast busy) the feature was not activated. The privacy status of the line was not changed.
If line is equipped with Per Line Blocking, using the activation code for Per Call Blocking (*67) before placing a call will have no effect (blocking will not be turned off).
Does not block a customer's telephone number from being sent to an E911 operator, or to 8xx and 900 numbers.
Cannot be provisioned on Party Line service, Trunks, OutWATS (DMS-100), Coin/Coinless Phones and Hotel/Motel Service.
