|AT&T Select Business Rewards Program
This is a free rewards program much like a frequent buyers plan.
How to Earn Points
One point for every $1 spent on regulated local phone service, voice and fax messaging, calling features and data products; FastAccess® Internet Service; and Wireless from AT&T charges. (does not include regulatory fees, entitlement and taxes). Points earned every month.
One point for every $3 you spent on AT&T Long Distance Service. (does not include regulatory fees, entitlement and taxes). Points earned every quarter, so long as usage exceeds $50.00 each month within the quarter. Billing for AT&T Long Distance Service must be within the main AT&T bill - not a separate bill.
You also get one point for every $1 you spend with online purchases made through the Select site with the new Partner Points benefit; but this is not really worth it.
As of April 30, 2007, AT&T Real Yellow Pages spending is no longer eligible for earning AT&T Select Business Rewards points.
Although you can redeem points for merchandise or gift cards, the best redemption option is the bill credit. Basically you'll receive a $25.00 bill credit for every 1,000 points. This is an automatic credit [after redemption] on your bill without having to complete a rebate form and/or gift card activation.
Businesses that spend between $100.00 and $3,500.00 (per month) on Small Business services.
Or - Businesses that spend an average $50 per month per quarter on AT&T Long Distance Service. (Spending for long distance or other service charges from companies other than AT&T Long Distance Service is not eligible for points earnings).
Customers who meet the AT&T eligibility requirements at time of enrollment but who subsequently decrease their monthly AT&T spending below $100 may remain in the program and redeem AT&T Select Business Rewards points; however, such customers will not earn standard AT&T Select Business Rewards points for AT&T spending for any billing period in which their AT&T spending is below $100.
There is a caveat for new customers who spend more than $3,500.00 a month. If you set up the account originally with services less than $3,500.00, and place a second order [at a later date] for additional services, you can qualify for this program and earn points according to a loop hole in the contract terms:
"Customers who meet the AT&T eligibility requirements at time of enrollment but who subsequently increase their monthly AT&T spending above $3,500 are permitted to remain in the program. However, the maximum number of standard AT&T Select Business Rewards points a customer can receive for spending on AT&T services is 3,500 per month."
Occasional Special Offers
Members also qualify for special offers from time to time; such as points for updating you profile, adding an email address, or taking a survey. They also offer special incentives to add lines or services. Promotions and special offers do have deadlines. We suggest you check their web site monthly for these specials https://selectbusiness.att.com/Common/BSL_shell.cfm?doc=offers. As a TeleAdvice retainer client, we stay up to date on these and other special promotions for you.
For example, on one promotion Select Members received up to $250.00 bill credit for ordering new lines and free installation. But be careful – the promotion required a term agreement and a termination charge equal to the credit if the lines were disconnected early.
Other Important Information
Members wishing to earn points on wireless services from AT&T and/or AT&T’s unregulated services spending, including FastAccess® Internet Service, must combine those charges on their bill from AT&T. Without limiting the foregoing, it is understood that qualifying Wireless from AT&T spending is considered AT&T spending for purposes of program eligibility and point earning limits. Members who have several business locations billed on one combined monthly bill will be issued only one program number per combined bill. All program points and award credits will be issued against that single membership number. Members may combine their wireless services from AT&T and/or FastAccess® Internet Service spending by calling their local business office. Billing for these services must be combined on member’s AT&T bill to earn points.
Program points expire on the last day of the calendar quarter, two calendar years from the quarter in which they are issued if a program participant fails to actively participate in the AT&T Select Business Rewards program during the two-year period. For example, points earned in January 2006 will expire on March 31, 2008. For the purposes of determining point expiration, "actively participate" means any of the following activities: AT&T Select Business Rewards point redemption, logging on to att.com/selectbusiness, contacting the AT&T Select Business Rewards Service Center, or other specified activities identified on the AT&T Select Business Rewards Program Website.
If a program participant fails to actively participate in the AT&T Select Business Rewards program during any three-year period following program enrollment, program participation will be terminated and all accumulated and unredeemed AT&T Select Business Rewards points will be forfeited. For the purposes of continuing program participation, "actively participate" means any of the following activities: AT&T Select Business Rewards point redemption, logging on to att.com/selectbusiness, contacting the AT&T Select Business Rewards Service Center, or other specified activities identified on the AT&T Select Business Rewards Program Website.
Customers must have a good account pay status. Members with any services that are disconnected due to late payments will be removed from the program. If a program participant discontinues all AT&T products and services, program participation will be terminated and all accumulated and unredeemed AT&T Select Business Rewards points will be forfeited. If the former program participant (a) returns to AT&T for the same or substantially equivalent services within 90 days of terminating services, (b) enrolls in the program, and (c) requests reinstatement of forfeited AT&T Select Business Rewards points, such AT&T Select Business Rewards points will be reinstated.
Unless expressly set forth to the contrary in the terms and conditions of another AT&T program, program benefits are available to those customers receiving discounts, rewards or benefits from other programs, including benefits for regulated services pursuant to tariff or promotional programs filed with appropriate regulatory authorities.
Address changes and changes to the name on the program account record must be made by calling the AT&T Select Business RewardsSM Service Center, 1.800.290.3333.
Any tax liability resulting from the redemption or award of program points and the receipt of awards is the sole responsibility of the member and/or business owner. This is another reason to not redeem your points for anything other than a bill credit.
AT&T reserves the right to alter, limit or modify program rules, regulations, awards and award levels or to terminate the AT&T Select Business Rewards program at any time, subject to any required regulatory filing.
