|iPhone Battery Replacement
A major drawback to the iPhone is when the battery needs replaced. It is not a simple process or a do-it-yourself activity. You have to return the iPhone to Apple to have the battery replaced. Yes, there are sites that will show you how to replace the battery on your own, but we would not recommend it - for obvious reasons.
Basically, the cost is $79.00, plus $6.95 shipping and taxes.
You'll need to take your iPhone to a local Apple Retail Store or contact Apple Technical Support for mail-in service. You can not take it to an AT&T store.
You will loose all information. The service process will clear all data from your iPhone. It is important to sync your iPhone with iTunes to back up your contacts, photos, email account settings, text messages, and more. Apple assumes no responsibly for the loss of information while servicing your iPhone and does not offer any data transfer service.
The process takes no less than three business days.
